This Privacy Policy describes how goClose LLC ("goClose," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and discloses information about users of the goClose platform at goclose.com (the "Platform"). By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account and Registration Information
When you create an account: name, email address, company name, job title, and password (hashed).
1.2 Financial and Business Data (User Data)
In the course of using the Platform, you may upload or connect: general ledger account information and balances, reconciliation data and supporting documentation, trial balances and financial schedules, documents synced from integrated storage platforms (e.g., Box, SharePoint), and ERP data accessed via authorized integrations. We treat this data with heightened sensitivity and use it only as necessary to operate the Platform for you.
1.3 Usage and Technical Data
We automatically collect: IP address, browser type and version, device information, pages and features used, clickstream data, error logs, and timestamps.
1.4 Payment Information
If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment data is collected and processed by our third-party payment processor. goClose does not store full payment card numbers.
1.5 Communications
We retain records of support requests, feedback, and other communications you send us.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Platform and Services.
- Process account registrations and authenticate users.
- Execute features including workflow management, reconciliation tracking, and ERP/storage integrations.
- Communicate with you about the Platform, including updates, security notices, and support.
- Process billing and subscription management.
- Monitor and analyze usage to improve performance.
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, security incidents, and technical issues.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
3. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Processing
The Platform may utilize automated processing and, in some features, AI or machine learning tools to assist with workflow automation and reconciliation assistance:
- AI or automated tools may process your User Data to generate suggestions, flags, or workflow outputs.
- Outputs from automated or AI-assisted features may contain errors and must be independently verified before reliance.
- goClose does not use your User Data to train AI models shared with other customers or third parties without your explicit consent.
- Where goClose uses third-party AI subprocessors, those providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for model training without authorization.
4. Data Retention
We retain your data as long as your account is active and as necessary to provide the Services. Upon account termination:
- User Data will be deleted within 90 days of account termination, unless earlier deletion is requested.
- We may retain anonymized or aggregated data for analytics and product improvement.
- We may retain certain records as required by applicable law or for legitimate business purposes such as tax compliance and dispute resolution.

5. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:
5.1 Service Providers and Subprocessors

5.4 Business Transfers

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

GOCLOSE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM IS IMMUNE FROM SECURITY THREATS. YOU USE THE PLATFORM AT YOUR OWN RISK WITH RESPECT TO SECURITY.

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights:
